About me...

I believe in this rapidly changing technological world there are still many connections to be made between learning mathematics and the creative process.  As a choreographer (http://maureenwhitingco.org/) and a mathematician , I view these two passionate based careers in my life as being intrinsic to feeding and nurturing one another.  Here is my Ted X talk on mathematics and art entitled “beauty chaos and the art of the mundane”. I come from a family of teachers and I learned from family discussions how mathematical thought could be fun and interesting.  This natural inquisitive interest served me well at Smith College where I ran the math tutoring lab and was an undergraduate teaching assistant.  I took these experiences into my 25 years of teaching and have been a successful sought out math tutor and teacher.  

What I create:  A math and testing package to suit the needs of your child.  Scores and tests and comments from educational institution and testing centers are evaluated and a program is designed.  

What the students experiences: The student will better “know his/her/ their mind” to to learn and absorb information with love compassionate and a good portion of grit.
